Recycle for Honor and The Path to Honor
On September 16 and 17 the seventh and eighth Honor Flights of Greater Dubuque will transport Tri- State area veterans to the WWII Memorial in Washington DC. A single seat for one local veteran to attend costs $494.
Rainbo Oil Company, QueenB Radio, Cumulus Broadcasting, Radio Dubuque, Dubuque Bank and Trust, Dittmer Recycling, Kwik Stop, and Dairy Queen are once again hosting Recycle for Honor. Recycle for Honor is a free recycling and shredding fundraiser. Last year, this event proved to be a success with $52,001.95 raised and donated to the Honor Flight of Greater Dubuque.
This year's goal is to exceed that amount by adding The Path to Honor. The Path to Honor includes a 100K bike ride, family bike ride, motorcycle ride, classic car poker run, and walk. Other events include a blood drive, kid’s corner, live music from Just Cuz, and concessions. One hundred percent of proceeds from all events will be donated to the Honor Flight of Greater Dubuque.
This year’s events will take place on June 28 and 29 in the Kwik Stop parking lot located at 2255 Kerper Boulevard in Dubuque. Stop by any Kwik Stop or Dairy Queen for your Path to Honor event registration or register online HERE.
Honor Flights show our appreciation for the great sacrifices and dedication our veterans. Please consider bringing your reycling and/or shred, signing up for a Path to Honor event, or making a donation.
